Closing Costs
Title Deeds: The Cayman Land and Surveys Department requires a one-off payment of Stamp Duty (currently 6% of the value of the land) prior to Title Deeds being transferred to the purchaser. £ 695.00 should also be set aside for registration fees.
House in a Box Licensing Fees: Licenses are only valid for 12 months. It is therefore advisable to delay application until the buyer is ready to either initiate the building process or prepare their plot for sale as a fully licensed turnkey product.
