Cocoa Beach Resort is located on the southern edge of Belmonte on the Discovery coast in the Bahia region.  The coast of Bahia enjoys miles and miles of unspoilt beaches. Inland there is the natural beauty of the protected rain forests and the towns and cities are steeped in history from the old colonial days.  A front line resort set in a tropical location free from earthquakes, tornadoes and tsunamis.

Belmonte is approximately an hours drive, on a recently upgraded 'A' road, from the lively regional centre Porto Seguro.      

The International Airport at Porto Seguro receives direct flights from a number of Brazilian cities including Salvador and Rio de Janeiro and several European cities, including charter flights. 

The local authority has plans to enlarge the airport and relocate it, if this vision is realised it will make the journey to Belmonte about 30 minutes. 

Salvador, Bahia's major city, has a major international transport hub.
